Williamson’s Barbecue / Chadbourn, NC

Lunch today (while on a Southeastern NC road-trip) was Williamson’s Barbecue in Chadbourn. Not a lot of ‘cue options out this way so this was a np-brainer. Almost got the lunch buffet. Looked super awesome, but it’s getting closer to bikini weather so I opted for just a sandwich.

Delicious in that old school eastern way. Normal bun. Sweet slaw. Moist and flavorful barbecue. No smoke, but tasty nonetheless. Worth driving a few minutes off the highway or on the way to Myrtle Beach? Sure. Special trip? Nah, but I did enjoy it and this was so much better than any fast food franchise. 7.8/10
